The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology successfully conducted a 12-day training program on Laparoscopic Sterilization from February 7 to February 17, 2024 at the O&G Department, DMCH. The training covered three districts: West Karbi Anglong, Hojai, and Bongaigaon.

The 32nd ABISACON-2024 (Assam Branch of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists Conference-2024) was organized by the Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care, Diphu Medical College, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam, in association with Strace Academy Welfare Society under the banner of ISA, Assam. The conference took place from February 9 to 11, 2024, at Sarsing Teron (Langkung Habe) Memorial Town Hall, Diphu.

The Zonal Level BemOC Training for Medical Officers from the districts of Dima Hasao, Hojai, Karbi Anglong, and West Karbi Anglong was inaugurated at DMCH, Diphu. This program, organized by NHM and the District Health Society, Karbi Anglong, was scheduled from March 5 to March 14, 2024.

A two-day Hands-on Training cum Workshop on Molecular and Serological Detection of Viral Pathogens was conducted by VDRL, Department of Microbiology at the Academic Block, DMCH, from March 15 to March 16, 2024.

The Department of Medicine organized a CME and an awareness program on World Diabetes Day, with the theme: “Breaking Barriers, Bridging Gaps.” Meanwhile, the Department of Pediatrics conducted various activities for children admitted to the department to mark Children’s Day (November 14, 2024).
