The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Diphu Medical College and Hospital was established in 2019 under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Alakananda Das. With a vision to become a leading center for patient care, research, and education in the state, the department is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based clinical services.

Facilities and Services

Guided by the motto "Promise of a Better Tomorrow," the department caters to women of all age groups. It specializes in the treatment of female reproductive health conditions, family planning, and comprehensive maternal care—including pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum support.

The department offers:

  • Indoor Admission for Patients
  • Minor and Major Surgical Procedures
  • Family Planning Services
  • Ultrasonography

With the upcoming introduction of undergraduate teaching and clinical postings, the department is preparing to welcome the first batch of MBBS students. Dedicated to providing top-quality care, it aspires to serve the entire region with excellence.
